By using Exhale Vault ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. We'll do our best to keep these terms clear and fair.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Exhale Vault cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to keep your account secure.
You are responsible for all content posted and activity that occurs under your account, including content posted by others who have access to your vault.
You must be a human. Accounts registered by bots or automated methods are not permitted.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.
Free features are truly free — no credit card required, no time limit, no catch.
If you upgrade to a paid plan, you'll be taken to a secure checkout page hosted by our payment processor. Payment is charged at the time of purchase. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, which we collect as required by law.
Plan upgrades take effect immediately. If you have questions about a charge, contact us.
We do not provide refunds after payments have been made, but we always try to do the right thing by our customers. If you feel you have legitimate grounds for a refund, email us and let us try to make it right.
You own your data. Your vault contents, photos, documents, collection items, contacts, and everything else you put into Exhale Vault — all of it belongs to you. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.
We do not train AI models on your data. Your content is processed solely to provide the Service (storing it, displaying it to you, and — with your consent — providing AI Coach guidance). That's it.
You grant Exhale Vault a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or close your account.
We own all rights to the Service itself — the code, design, and branding of Exhale Vault. You may not duplicate, copy, or reuse any portion of the application's design or code without written permission.
The AI Coach is an optional feature that helps you set up and manage your Exhale Vault. It is powered by large language models (LLMs) from external providers (see our Privacy Policy for details on which providers and what data is shared).
The AI Coach does not provide professional advice. It is not a substitute for legal, financial, tax, insurance, estate planning, or any other professional advice. The coach helps you organize your vault — it does not advise you on the substance of what you're storing.
AI-generated responses may be inaccurate. Large language models can produce incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information. You are responsible for verifying any information provided by the coach and for any decisions you make based on its output.
Your use of the AI Coach is subject to the consent model described in our Privacy Policy. You can disable AI features at any time.
You are free to cancel your account at any time. You can do so from your account settings.
Upon cancellation, all your data — vaults, items, documents, photos, contacts, conversations, and associated records — is immediately and permanently deleted. Uploaded files are removed from our storage servers within 30 days.
This deletion is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Abuse of Exhale Vault staff (in any form) is grounds for immediate termination.
We may modify, add, or remove features of the Service at any time. We'll provide reasonable notice for changes that significantly affect your use.
Price changes for paid plans will be communicated at least 30 days in advance for existing customers. New pricing applies only to new purchases or renewals.
We build Exhale Vault to last, and we aim to support the Service for as long as possible. However, we cannot guarantee perpetual availability. If we ever discontinue the Service, we'll provide at least 90 days' notice.
We provide the Service "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep Exhale Vault running smoothly, but we don't offer formal service level agreements.
We take the security of your data seriously. See our Security Overview for details on encryption, authentication, and data protection. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
Our staff will not access your content except:
Exhale Vault, LLC is not liable to you or any third party for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind — including loss of data, loss of profits, or reliance on AI Coach output — arising from your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $1, whichever is greater.
This limitation applies to all causes of action, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise.
